"An action-capable association of democracies"
Powerline discusses a Charles Hill editorial.
I was very excited to see this particular quote, because I've thought for some time that that's exactly what should replace the UN. The whole concept of the UN has a fundamental flaw:
Nondemocratic governments have no legitimate claim to sovereignty
My hope is that this idea will be the guiding principle of the 21st Century and that new institutions will arise that reflect that sentiment. It's ironic in the extreme that tyrannical states vote in the UN while denying their "citizens" the same right.
